ffox is like opera now, just type in keywords into address bar & they will be google searched.
Ctrl-D = Save as Draft
Ctrl-P =Publish
Ctrl click on mac = context menu
just found that firefox 1.0.6, part of 1.4.9 OSX image, doesn't automatically save, hence lost what I was typing 10 mins ago, learnt the hard way
the info probably wasn't that important anyway.
testing the autosave function using ffox 2.0.0.12
this is a test
all part of the fun when working with computers, even Macs.

mac ffox tip - cmd click link - opens link in new tab in background.
bug / inconsistency with ffox 2.0.0.12
cmd-left arrow normally moves cursor to start of line, like HOME on windows
BUT
in ffox, it seems to be the keyboard shortcut for going back a page.
this was possibly how I lost my info in the first place; it is important to read the messages that pop up & not just accept willy nilly.
just bought a keyboard from Jaycar

seems to be a Kensington knockoff

the backslash key is next to the enter key; takes a bit of getting used to...
thought that I would accidentally press "\", but haven't done so, so far.
seems european keyboard layout has this feature...

the windows key is the apple key.
"think in Russian" as Clint Eastwood would say in the movie "Firefox", a bit of an uncanny coincidence as I am using ffox to enter this info.
looks like have to click on "save as draft" which exits to Posts window, then need to get back into post, then click "save now" before autosave gets activate.
ctrl-S is shortcut for save now in ffox.
another really bizarre coincidence, 23 things & the movie 23, which I watched last night.
