Week 5 - getting bit behind

had other things to do this week, completing the MMR stocktake crosschecking MMR Filemaker Pro Asset Register database with Innopac MMR CH equipment database

went back to part time work this week
hence I'm catching up on this ECU Library Learning stuff at home on a Sunday evening.

Have to get round to Wikis.

although I have used wikis in the past to look up:
star trek stuff,
http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Portal:Main
also electric vehicle stuff
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_roadster

Week 4 - EBSCO's Australian PC magazine abstract typos

came across EBSCO about 5 years ago at the Woodvale public library.

back then, they seem to scan articles into their abtracts database but didn't check for typos.

I shall have to see if they have improved since.

looks like they have NOT.
"Socket 939 has eitra electrical connections for AMD's HynerTransport bus. allowing it to ramp up to ablating 1GHz."
==
"Socket 939 has extra electrical connections for AMD's HyperTransport bus. allowing it to ramp up to a blazing 1GHz."
"Gigabit Eltwrnet. Nuidia Firewali." = "Gigabit Ethernet. Nvidia Firewall."
"see an improvement in spaed." = "see an improvement in speed."

just goes to show that u shouldn't believe all you see on the net.

should I tell them about this
"Quizás, Quizás, Quizás" (also known as "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" in English)

Week 3 - RSS feeds

just re-discovered the Title field of this blog.

I found that the CNN footage takes too long to load

a bit of HTML knowledge is helpful in creating these blogs

it is really gr8 that blogger automatically saves drafts, just like in gmail or googlemail as it is known because gmail.com is already used in some countries.

had a quick browse of other's blogs but haven't posted on all.

almost forgot which login to use.

u might be wondering why I chose g4qbert
it is short for G4 Cube,

an Apple Mac that is present at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York

I'm using an iMac G5 to publish this blog.
also using Firefox 2.0.0.6

I tried using Opera, but it doesn't seem to support blogger keyboard shortcuts,
Ctrl-S especially, although this is practically redundant due to autosave.

it is interesting how water finds its own level, in terms of users finding the best way to do things and avoiding odd stuff.

somehow when I try to insert pictures into the blog, it gets put at the top of the blog, I have to edit the HTML code to position the image correctly in the text.

this blog is more a FMI - for my information instead of an FYI - for your information.
